I am a local Bellingham photographer handling many types of photography. While I love to shoot everything from weddings to events, I really thrive photographing sporting events. I don't know about you, but for me there is not much that can beat the smell of fresh cut grass on a cool crisp fall Friday evening standing on the 50 with a camera!

I have been making photos since I was 17 years old, getting started at North Kitsap High School with a photography class. After graduation, I continued my new found love and turned my creative expression in to a college education. I graduated from Western Washington University with a BA in Visual Communications: Graphic Arts and Photography in the spring of 1993. My final college project was an internship with the Bellingham Herald as a photographer.

I am pleased to continue developing photography and a photographers community with www.WPANetwork.com through out Northwestern Washington. If you have any photography or photo order questions, or to find out how to contribute your photographic passion to the WPANetwork please email me at David.Willoughby@WPANetwork.com

Thanks again for your time!

David :)

Heidi Hildebrandt

My name is Heidi and I am a freelance photographer out of the Shelton area. I believe photos are the best memories a person can have and it is my goal to capture as many memories for myself and others as possible. I have had a passion for photography since I was very young. I remember getting my first 110 camera, then upgrading to a 35mm and then jumping into the digital era. Besides one photography class in college and a few years employed at a camera store, I have learned photography through a lot of practice. I believe I was blessed with a strong eye which has helped me develop as a photographer over the years.

Today I am in the Social Work field and my photography is my outlet. Sports photography is my first love. For me, nothing is better than going to the field after a tough day of work and getting rid of all the tension by capturing some of the best raw emotion there is. I have to give recognition to my family and friends who have been supportive of my love for several years and have encouraged me to take it to another level. I also want to thank the WPA for allowing me to network with them and share Shelton High School athletics with everyone.

I am a freelance photographer based in Olympia, WA. I enjoy shooting senior and family portraits, events such as small weddings, reunions and anniversaries and high school sports. I love to provide memorable images that will be treasured by my subjects for years to come.

I have been shooting photos since my Purdue days. Having a press pass allowed free access to football and basketball games, astronauts and entertainers. I have taught physics and photography in both New York and Tokyo, Japan before retiring from Olympia High School’s science department in 2013. My photographs are used by various commercial and educational websites in the Sound area. I also provide teams with group, individual and game photos.

I am pleased to be involved with the high school sports photography community via www.WPANetwork.com. I will be providing albums from the Olympia area high school sports, concentrating on Olympia High School and other games in this area. I am a freelance photographer based in Mason County doing a lot of freelance work for the Mason County Journal. I have also freelanced for the Forest Service and local school districts.

I got my first camera for Christmas of 1976. Later as an adult, I studied photography and fine arts at the Evergreen State College. I have studied both black and white film photography and documentary digital photography, graduating from Evergreen in 2013 with a duel Bachelor of Arts and Sciences.

I specialize in sports, photojournalism, landscape and microphotography.

I enjoy photographing sports because it is so challenging and there is so much to learn. I strive to constantly improve myself. If I ever got to the point where I thought I knew everything about photography I know that it would quickly become boring.

I was a very competitive athlete in my day, but after injuring my ankles while skateboarding my days of competitive sports are over. I look back fondly on my childhood days of playing softball and basketball and running cross country and putting the shot.

I now have two daughters of my own but neither of them is much interested in sports. Girls today have it so much better when it comes to having access to sporting programs. I love watching girls give their all on the court and in the field. It makes my heart swell with pride and envy.

I am a freelance photographer currently located in the Tumwater area, currently focusing on action sports photography. There is such honesty and rawness that comes out during competition, and it is such a pleasure to shoot it as it happens. I believe that the right photos can bring you back to the moment, capturing memories to enjoy for years to come.

I began my photography journey with my first camera in the year 2000, and the digital world allowed me to develop my skills with real time results. I have been focused on action sports photography for the past 10 years, further refining my abilities. I currently work in the technology field, and photography has become my outlet at the end of the day.

I look forward to working with WPA Network, and offering memories that will last!
